Our hours of operation are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.  The physical address is 213B North Main Street, Tuskegee, Alabama 36083.

To obtain a county business license, please contact 800.556.7274, option 1, option 6, option 1 or RDS to sign up online.

This office enforces Macon County ordinances that concern safety and quality of life.

Specific responsibilities include monitoring for compliance with laws regulating the following:

• Animal Control
• Business Licenses
• Criminal Littering
• Mobile Home Stickers
• Noise Ordiance
• Public Nuisances
• Sewage & Septic Tanks
• Solid Waste/Trash Cans

Monitoring the county’s entire jurisdiction, looking for violations and issuing citations, the Macon County Compliance Office works closely with the local, state and federal agencies.

The first Monday in November thru first week in December is the signup for trash exemption.
